°®¶¹ÉçÇø

Kindergarten

Currently, at °®¶¹ÉçÇø, we have two wonderful kindergartens located at our Junior College Campuses.

As part of our Master plan, we will be building a new, contemporary Early Learning Centre on our Warwick Street location during 2024. Towards the latter part of 2025, this will be our united Junior College Kindergarten. You can read more about the College's plans here

Being part of our wider °®¶¹ÉçÇø community allows the kindergarten children to be involved in a range of school activities, interact with a number of schoolteachers and support staff, which all contributes to a smooth transition and a great start to formal schooling.

Our expansive outdoor environment is one of the largest in Toowoomba and enables our children to engage fully in nature play and Forest Learning daily. We have a number of animals including, chickens, guinea pigs, a frog pond and native bee hives to support our well-being development.

Concordia Hume Street Kindy is passionate about all learning areas to support children but has a special interest in early literacy, brain development, and STEM. The Kindy was the Qld State Winner for STEM in 2020 and is currently recognised as a STEM Little Scientist House - the only in the entire wider Darling Downs Region.

Warwick Street Kindergarten

°®¶¹ÉçÇø Warwick Street Kindergarten (formerly known as Concordia Lutheran Kindergarten) is located at Concordia's Warwick Street Campus in Harristown, offering a high-quality, play-based early education program for children from their third birthday.

Our Kindergarten hosts two Early Education Programs run by a Bachelor Qualified teaching team. Our team are setting down a foundation for our students during their formative years to support their learning and development for a lifetime.

Warwick Street Kindergarten provides a unique opportunity for children to play in nature with our Bush Kindy program. Bush Kindy ensures that all children have the opportunity to experience nature and the outdoor environment outside of a traditional playground. Research has found that outdoor play and unstructured play are crucial for brain development and hands-on learning in a natural environment stimulates children’s senses and overall development.

We operate 50 weeks of the year, five days a week from 7.30am to 5.30pm each day, supporting our families with the flexibility of extended hours while giving our Kindergarten students the opportunity to participate in a high-quality Kindergarten Program.

At Warwick Street Kindergarten, we understand the importance of making early education accessible and affordable for families, that's why our program offers Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to eligible families.

As part of our commitment to providing accessible early education, we offer 15 hours of Free Kindy, supported by Queensland Government funding. This means that eligible families can benefit from subsidised kindergarten fees for their children.

Additionally, we provide "wrap-around care" for our Free Kindy program, ensuring that children receive comprehensive care and support throughout their time at our kindergarten. This integrated approach allows families to seamlessly transition between kindergarten hours and extended care, providing flexibility to accommodate various schedules and needs.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing and stimulating environment, and our Kindergarten program helps make this vision a reality for families in our community.
